Seattle, WA

Jared and I decided to do something fun this last weekend. We got tickets to see the Seattle Mariners battle out the last game of the weekend against the New York Yankees. We were lucky to see them beat the Yankee's 10-4 after loosing the last three games. GO MARINERS! However, Griffey wasn't playing so hot but Gutierrez and Lopez were playing great!

After the game we settled down at Hotel 1000. A newer modern hotel on First Ave. Super chic place to lay your head at night. Of course the traditional trip to Benihanna's was a must and good thing we did. We sat next to Jose Lopez while he ate with his family after a great game!

We walked the water front for a while after dinner and relaxed in the nice Seattle weather. It was great to get away. But of course all things come to an end and we had to head home the next morning. More weekend getaways our in our future. It's nice to get away for a short time. It's also nice to come home too.

Leaving the Hospital

Beggars cannot be chooser and liars cannot conquer. You get what you deserve so says my mother.
After sitting in a hospital bed for 48 hours the doctor was not convinced I was ready to go home though I kept telling him I was feeling a lot better. He was probably right but I didn't want to stay there another day.
I begged and pleaded to go home saying I needed to work and I couldn't do it from the hospital since my laptop couldn't get online. The hospitals WI-FI wouldn't let me connect to the sites I needed nor would my email come through. The busiest week I had a work and I was stuck at the hospital. So again, I begged and pleaded to come home. The doctor said he would think about as long I would comply with his rules. I said that was no problem.
Rule #1 : Stay home and go to bed.
Rule #2 : Take all prescribed medication.
Rule #3 : Continue with liquid diet and low fiber foods for the next week.

NO PROBLEM...RIGHT?
The doctor let me go home, it was noon. Jared picked me up and as soon as I got home I said
I had to go drop off my prescriptions and stop by work while I waited for them to be filled. Jared insisted that he go but I told him I was fine. So after I showered put a tank and yoga pants on, I threw my hair up in a ponytail and left the house. I dropped of my prescriptions and then went off to work for a few. I was there more like 30 -40 minutes before people started telling me I looked pale. I didn't feel well at all. I should have let Jared pick up my meds. I then take stuff from work that needed to go the the post office. It is 100 degrees outside, I am running a fever and fell rather faint. I pick up my meds at Rite Aide where my favorite pharmacist then proceeds to tell me I look like crap. Well, I felt like crap. I then carry on to the post office to get some stuff mailed for work. Not feeling well, I grab my wallet and letters to mail. I locked my door and walked faintly into the post office. I locked my keys in my car...I noticed as I was next in line. I didn't grab my purse...just my wallet so I didn't have my cell phone either. GREAT! I paid for my postage and asked the postman if I there was a pay phone I could use. He then proceeded to tell me that I look very pale and I should sit down. I told him I locked my keys and phone in my car. He told my I could use the post office phone, however it is a blocked number and our home doesn't accept blocked calls (you can't unblock the post office #) so then I called Jared...HE WOULDN'T ANSWER...I called three times. Again would not answer. I told the nice man that sometimes he didn't answer if he didn't know the number and that I would need to call our house phone. The man said I could use his cell phone. It was dead. So then he asked another lady working there at the post office if I could use her cell phone. By this time the post office was packed with people trying to mail their own items. I was mortified. She let me call my house phone 3 times and then Jared's cell another 3 times. STILL no answer. I called the house again screaming in the phone in front of all these people leaving a message on our answering machine for Jared to answer the phone. He then picked up laughing. I kept asking him why he didn't answer either phones when he saw the same answer calling over and over again. He said it was a number he didn't know. By now I have no patience and ask Jared to bring my spare keys. He showed up 10 minutes later to let me come home. I am laughing by the time I get home explaining what happened to my mother who is on vacation in North Carolina. This is when she told me Liars cannot Conquer. Serves me right for not doing what the doctor said. For the next few days I was tired, sick and annoyed.

Sick Again

Once I think I am getting better, it turns out that I am not. I ended up in the hospital again....yes again. It looks as though my hospital incident Valentines Day weekend was the same cause of this one. Of course they now know what has happened. I spent the day in Spokane with my sister Melissa only to be miserable the whole day with crazy stomach pain. I left Spokane early to drive home as I knew I was definitely not feeling well. Once I was home I called Jared to come home. I didn't even have to say anything, he already knew we had to go the hospital. It was Sunday, not just any Sunday, Boat Race weekend Sunday. Boat races had just ended and all the crazy drunk people had finally shown up to the ER right before me. Jared and I spent from 8pm to 2am in the ER only to be told that I would have to stay a couple days. I was not a happy camper. By 3:30am I was upstairs with pain meds and a room. It turns out that I have diverticulitis. Something that effects your lower intestines and your colon. Most people don't have this problem until they are in their 40's and 50's. Turns out that all the meds I have been on for everything else has been causing blockages and I just passed them off as nothing.
I learn after getting to my room that I will be joined shortly by my roommate. SHE WAS CRAZY! To make a long story short, I was blessed when they told me she had to move rooms.
